NPC Roll Call!

This is going to be a list of all the NPCs and each one will have a post here so you can access their character sheet, plus it will provide some background notes on them.

Panian Amalith was one of the first NPCs to arrive at Rock Hammer and he was hired by Althalus on the 14th of Kythorn. Previously Panian worked in the High Forest as a liaison between the wood elves and the people of Tree Ghost camp. He is a very low-keyed person, and very neutral in his beliefs. A calm individual that is an excellent scout, great with animals as well as Nature.

He has assisted in many scouting expeditions, often times dividing the areas north and south with Althalus. He lead the group of NPCs appointed to him to track down the missing workers in Wageton and uncovered a kidnapping plot by one of the rogue wizards in the Red Wizards of Thay Enclave.

Marina Roberts was hired by Melisi on the 10th of Kythorn. Before she came to Rock Hammer she worked on the river boats that travelling the Rauvin River from Silverymoon all the way to Sundabar, although she never talks about how her employment ended there.

She learned how to use a bow from her father when growing up in Sundabar and hunted with him in the Sundabar Vale for years. When her father passed away in her early twenties, she left the city.

Marina participated in the Rockhammer/Everlund Pass Patrol attack on the bugbears in early Flamerule, and even got in a couple of attacks on the tribe shaman.

Under Melisi's orders, Marina led the assault on the wagon of medicine travelling from Silverymoon to Temel. Later it was discovered that Thar Grim-Rule and the Broken Tusks orcs were behind it.

During the Mid-Summer festivities, Marina won the archery competition. Nadia made a fantastic bow for her prize.

On Eleasis 13th, Marina was hired by Umberto due to inactivity from Melisi.

Troy Percival arrived to Rock Hammer Hold along with Delek and Janar on the 20th of Eleasis. They all had heard word of your heroism in Wageton and made the trek into the Nether Mountains to join.

Troy's family comes from Waterdeep where his father was captain of the guard, and he installed on young Troy a sense of honor and justice. Troy could not afford paladin schooling in Waterdeep so he set out on his own and has studied on his own, the ways of Helm, Torm, and Tyr.

Umberto shuffled Troy off to Horace Danim who happened to be at the keep at the time. Apparently Troy has already met Horace and did not agree with his methods. Kregnok eventually hired Troy.

Later Troy started to work with Evan Barksdale and the building of the new temple to Helm in the Rock Hammer Valley.

Troy accompanied Hasimir on the first shipment of stone to Wageton, and helped in the attack.

Janar arrived on the 20th of Eleasis along with Troy and Delek. All three heard of the exploits of the heroes of Rock Hammer Hold and left Wageton to go there and join the cause. Umberto quickly sensed she was hiding something and using the powers of Merthuvial decided against hiring her.

The following day Janar was headed out with her head hanging. Again using Merthuvial Umberto discovered that Janar was under coersion to join Rock Hammer. Eventually it was revealed that Janar was hired by the Dreadlord Holt Burukhan to join up and act as a spy. It was decided by all parties that Janar would be a double agent for Rock Hammer and they would do everything in their power to get her daughter back.

Hasimir and his NPC Leera were tasked with keeping an eye on her.

At some point Althalus followed her secretly to her drop point for the Dreadlord. Ironically, it was not far from the one that Syvgar uses to get word back to Rock Hammer.

Otihand Battlebeard showed up at Rock Hammer Hold on the 1st of Flamerule, complaining about the heat since he was an artic dwarf from the Great Glacier as an emissary of his people and was looking for work. He was hired by Kregnok on the spot.

Later he participated in the Panian led adventure to Wageton looking in to the disappearance of two local workers that eventually led to the Red Wizards of Thay Enclave.

He worked on the Axe Throwing contest with the other dwarves at the Mid-Summer festival.

He was a part of the Rock Hammer / Everlund Pass Patrol attack on the ogres.

He also went along with Hasimir on the first shipment of stone to Wageton .

K'Gorsz was the first NPC to visit Rock Hammer Hold on the 2nd of Kythorn with his pet spider Gilm. He was a part of the Vaerluth goblins, a weak and poor tribe that lives in the lower slopes of the Rauvin Mountains. K'Gorsz worked as a scribe for the 36th king. As many of the goblins of this tribe, K'Gorsz had a knack for spider poisons, which his tribe is immune to.

Umberto hired him and put him to work producing spider poisons, many of which were later sold in Cholnudon.

K'Gorsz participated in the attack on the bugbear camp in early Flamerule, and even got in a couple of backstabs on the shaman. Also told Umberto that he is missing a couple vials of poison.

He backed up Panian's story that he thought he saw the Black Knight (Dreadlord Holt Burukhan) give Syvgar a secret nod before leaving pm Flamerule the 23rd.

Talked Umberto into helping him acquire a giant spider to be kept behind the keep so he can produce a steady supply of that type of poison on Eleasis 11th.

Gravaar was the 2nd NPC to be hired at Rock Hammer Hold back on Kythorn the 9th by Umberto. He was a part of the Ripped Guts Tribe here in the Nether Mountains and was nearly killed by an ambush from the Thousand Fists tribe. Gravaar always enjoyed the solitude of hunting and after the attack, he severed ties with the Ripped Guts and struck out on his own.

Gravaar participated in the join effort with the Everlund Pass Patrol in the attackon the Bugbear camp in early Flamerule. He was nearly killed after the battle when his rage ended.

Through the help of the druid Vadania and the hiring of the hunter named Ol' Jed, Gravaar has really mastered the art of hunting.

Kelser Blackmane is a barbarian who grew up in Thradulf's Camp in the Cold Woods. His best friend was Shinoras Longfang, and his father was Adalwulf Longfang, the leader of the Red Tiger Tribe. Shinoras died while hunting and when Adalwulf's time came he handed over control of the tribe to his nephew, Thradulf. Kelser served his new leader as best he could but could take it no more. He left the tribe.

Kelser was hired originall by Lozigee on the 2nd of Flamerule. The next day he led the attack on the bugbears and worked well with Captain Aito. The following week he helped Melisi assault a wagon and retrieve a blue chest. Later it was revealed that the Broken Tusks were behind the hiring of that job and that the blue chest contained vital medicine for Temel.

On Shieldmeet, Kelser went along with the other adventurers to Wageton for the negotiations of the stone to Sundabar deal. This started the Barrow of the Forgotten King adventure.

Due to inactivity, Kregnok hired Kelser on the 11th of Eleasis.

Worked again with Captain Aito in the joint attack on the ogre camp on the 26th of Eleasis.

He is not the adventuring type.

Leera was found bleeding and dying during the Barrow of the Forgotten King adventure. It was learned that she was working for Xeron and the rest of the evil doers that the group was chasing through the tomb. She was hired as a merc along with Teryl recently. She gave great details on who Xeron was; the fact that he feared disappointing the "Dreadlord" and that they were looking for something specific. She also gave details on the rest of his party and what to expect.

She got into a minor argument with Kelser about her involvement with them, but she proclaimed that she had no choice but to follow along with Xeron until she could bolt from the group.

Later Hasimir hired her once the adventure was over.

She travelled to Silverymoon with Hasimir and Tian when they ran into Captain Kremmel along the way. After a not-so-pleasant meeting with him, Leera claimed to have remembered seeing him before. "Not on patrol, but someplace he shouldn't have been."

On the 15th of Eleasis, she went along with many of the other for the investigation on what happened to Temel now that it was under rule of the Broken Tusks.
