Yes, I will gladly lend Melisi 100 gp! Tough lesson to learn, but perhaps this will help in the decision making process next time some orcs ask us to ambush a caravan and steal something for them. At a time when we are trying to build a good reputation in the area, taking on that kind of mission could be considered counter-productive.

Wahoo! Ok, looks like we are only 140 short now. Just to give you all a heads up, Valen and Bastion don't have any money. So you would have to look at Melisi, maybe Kregnok, and maybe Lozigee (although I don't think he has much money either) for the last little bit.

Ok Melisi, I have you down for the 300 you got from the orcs for doing this, and an additional 70 to make a grand total of the 1500 gold needed! Good job, that was an awesome effort!

Evan Barksdale races back to Temel to get the prisoner released while the band of NPCs that met with the orcs earlier are suited up and ready to deliver the money. To make matters simple, I'm going to have Evan give the orc prisoner the 500 from Temel and so your NPCs will be delivering the other 1000.

I'll have a detailed write up on this later tonight (Sunday) or early tomorrow.

It is late in the evening of the 19th of Flamerule when your weary band of NPCs return to Rockhammer Hold. A handful of you gather to meet them in the courtyard.

"It's done." says Vadania says shaking her head, "but I am left with ominous feelings."

The rest of the NPCs head off to bed while Vadania fills you in on the details. "We arrived at the stop where we met Karg before and had to wait until the prisoner Thar Grim-Rule showed up before the deal was done. Quite nerve wracking considering how badly Temel needed the medicine. A few hours later, he showed up along with the 500 gold from Temel. Karg howled with laughter and kicked the crate to us. I have to tell you, I was surprised to see the medicine was actually in there."

"Karg then proceed to call us out, calling us weak, and saying that one day all of us in the Nether Mountains will bow down before him."

"Once he was done with his speech, we were allowed to leave. With haste we took the medicine to Temel and delivered them to a very grateful Evan. He immediately began distributing the goods to the people. He sounded optimistic that disaster was averted. Then we came straight back."

You all breathe a sigh of relief, finally this ordeal is over. Everyone heads off to bed while Umberto takes care of a distraught Vadania.

Excellent work all. Now, I think we should consider the upcoming holidays as a chance to regain some happiness. While we may need to celebrate a bit more, sparsely, I see no reason why we shouldn't celebrate at all. Let us invite our new friends, and see what profitable, and well communicated, ventures may come our way.

As for this orc, and his band, let us consider him an enemy worth watching. There seems to be a bit more than standard orcish brutal intelligence behind this one, and I fear a direct conflict will occur in the future. For now, let us be wary of this new foe, and be alert to the possibility of future traps.

I must apologize for my part in these, unfortunate events, as well. And I might propose a council situation, where contracts and issues are brought forth, with all members being made aware in a round table discussion and debated. The "president," or so, could retain ultimate decision making authority, but at least the details of all situations could be told and discussed. Let me know what you think, as it's an idea for now. My thoughts on this matter are directed more towards the future, when hopefully our little stronghold becomes a little town, and so forth.

I gotta say, as the DM, having an ultimate authority for decisions is essential for this forum to work. Otherwise we too much of people giving their opinions and nothing really getting done.
